Our new Retina Specialist
Dr. Oscar Kuruvilla is a board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in diseases of the retina. Upon receiving a full scholarship to attend Case Western Reserve University where he obtained degrees in Biology and Psychology, he obtained his medical degree at The Ohio State University. He then finished a four-year residency at Henry Ford Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. At Vanderbilt Eye Institute he trained with world-renowned retinal specialists treating the most unique eye cases in the country. Dr. Kuruvilla prides himself in the rapport he establishes with his patients. He is an active member of the community attending church locally, and serving as a board member of the Charlotte Ophthalmology Society.
